About the event

This event is an introductory fine wine tasting, designed for anyone with an interest in Californian fine wine.


Immerse yourself in the heart of California wine country with a two-hour masterclass exploring two of its most celebrated regions: Sonoma and Napa. Guided by our founder, this tasting reveals how coastal influence, ancient volcanic soils and dramatic elevation shifts shape some of the most distinctive and sought-after wines in the world.


We begin by comparing classic expressions of Chardonnay from each region, highlighting the contrast between Sonoma’s cool-climate precision and Napa’s richer, more opulent style. The journey continues with Pinot Noir, showcasing how these neighbouring areas produce remarkably different interpretations of the grape, from coastal elegance to deeper, more textural profiles.


The masterclass then turns to Cabernet Sauvignon, examining Napa’s hallmark power, structure and site-specific character alongside Sonoma’s equally compelling but often under-appreciated styles. You’ll explore how history, geology and microclimate…
