About the event

As the Worlds’ climate continues to change, more and more interesting wine regions continue to come to light. None are closer to home than wines from Britain and Ireland.

Sparkling wines from England have been in the spotlight in recent years, with Kent in particular producing some outstanding examples. But what about still wines?

With a terroir that can be compared to that of Burgundy, and a climate fast approaching the same, still wines are becoming increasingly popular, particularly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. We will be exploring the best of both.

Whilst English wines have grown in understanding and appreciation, it is safe to say that the few Irish producers in action are currently flying below radar. But how are the wines themselves? We believe they are under-appreciated, with some fantastic quality beginning to come to light. We can’t wait to see what you think.
